Looking for quick, authentic food near Ponte Pietra in Verona? Scapin is a family-run Veronese deli founded in 1935, now in its fourth generation. Our Ponte Pietra shop (Via Santo Stefano 12) sits 30 meters from the Castel San Pietro funicular station and about 100 meters from the Roman Theatre.

What we serve

Traditional Veronese dishes ready in about 4 minutes: bigoli pasta, homemade lasagne, breaded cutlets with potatoes, Veronese arancini. Add a spritz, or a board of Lessinia mountain cheeses (including Monte Veronese DOP) and local cured meats. A full lunch costs around 10-12 euros.

A real family story

The Scapin family has worked with food in Verona since 1935, when grandfather Bepi delivered cheese by bicycle. Today the fourth generation runs two delis in the city centre: Via Armando Diaz 20 (between Ponte della Vittoria and Portoni Borsari) and Via Santo Stefano 12 (Ponte Pietra), where you can eat in or take away.
